Expense Management Analyst

This position is responsible for managing the Corporate Purchasing and Travel Card programs as well as the global travel and entertainment (T&E) policy.  This includes handling the card application process, card usage, delinquency management, expense report review, accounting of credit card transactions, oversight of payments, and reporting / data analytics.  Other special projects within the Accounting department may also be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the expense reporting system
  • Responsible for the global Travel and Expense program including expense report review, reimbursement, liability accruals, reporting, and audits
  • Work directly with staff to address complaints/issues, requests, and other matters relating to the Company’s travel policy
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the corporate travel card policy including card issuance, establishing / maintaining credit limit, and merchant / MCC code authorization
  • Provide feedback to management regarding training needs based on frequency of problems/issues, audit findings, or inquiries from employees
  • Manage activities for the corporate purchasing card program, serving as the primary contact to all vendors
  • Maintain corporate purchasing cards reconciliations, employee allocations, manager approvals, new card requests, receipt package submissions, file downloads, payments, accruals, reporting, and audits
  • Provide feedback on suggested policy and procedure changes to gain efficiencies and improve overall compliance / effectiveness of the Company’s T&E and purchasing card programs
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Office/accounting procedures and basic computer skills required
  • Intermediate Excel preferred
  • Time management and organizational skills essential
  • Knowledge or experience in Travel and Expense and Corporate purchasing card programs preferred
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent written, listening, and verbal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and/or under the direction of others


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one year previous accounting experience
  • Minimum of one year credit card program experience preferred
